Get started with Quota Manager
Quota Manager gives sales admins one place to review and maintain quotas in Salesforce. Use it to work across forecast types, move through your hierarchy, switch years, and change how quota values are displayed.
You’ll need access to Akoonu’s forecasting features in Salesforce before you can use Quota Manager. Access to full hierarchy views depends on your assigned Akoonu permissions.
What you can do in Quota Manager
Quota Manager is part of Forecasts Overlay and is designed for sales administration work in Salesforce. It supports all forecast types and works with role and territory hierarchies.
From the main Quota Manager view, you can:
Review quotas across your forecast hierarchy
Switch between forecasting types using the tabs at the top of the page
Switch between available years with Select Year
Change how values are displayed from View Options
Akoonu also supports bulk quota actions such as import, export, copy, and delete from Quota Manager workflows.
Understand the main view
When you open Quota Manager, you’ll see tabs for the forecasting types available in your Salesforce setup. Each tab lets you work with quotas for that specific forecast type.
The table is organized by your forecasting hierarchy. Depending on how your Salesforce forecast is configured, that hierarchy can be role-based or territory-based.
You can drill down through the hierarchy to move from higher-level team totals to individual reps. This makes it easy to review quotas at the team level or inspect quota values for one person at a time.
The available columns depend on your forecasting setup and view options. Quota Manager can show quarter-level periods, and it can also show a year column when Show Year is enabled.
Change the year you are viewing
Use Select Year to move between available forecasting years. The list of years comes from your Salesforce forecasting period setup.
This makes it easy to review the current year, compare prior quotas, or prepare for an upcoming year without leaving the page.
Adjust how numbers and columns are displayed
Open View Options to change how Quota Manager displays the table.
Short Numbers shows abbreviated values so large numbers fit more easily in the grid.
Full Width expands the table layout so you can scroll horizontally and view more of each column.
Show Quarters controls whether quarter groupings appear when monthly forecasting is enabled.
Show Year adds or removes the year column.
These options are useful when you need a compact view for scanning or a wider view for reviewing full values.
What’s next
After you’re comfortable with the main Quota Manager view, the next step is usually working with bulk actions such as importing or exporting quotas.
