Using Filters in Pipeline Reviews
Filters let you zero in on exactly the opportunities you need to see. Whether you're reviewing deals above a certain size, focusing on a specific account segment, or combining multiple criteria — filters give you precise control over your pipeline view.
Quick filters
Click the filter button in the toolbar to see quick filter options. These show the most commonly used fields for your org — typically opportunity type, forecast category, or similar fields your team uses often.
The fields available in quick filters are configurable, so what you see may differ from other orgs. Select any option to apply it immediately to your view.
Advanced filters
For more precise control, click More filters to open the filters side panel. This gives you access to the full range of filtering capabilities.
Scope and period
At the top of the panel, set your scope and close date period:
Scope — Choose to see all opportunities you have access to, or just opportunities you own.
Close date period — Set the timeframe for opportunity close dates.
Add your own filters
Click Add filter to create custom filter criteria. Choose any field on the opportunity object — for example, filter to opportunities with ARR Amount greater than $30,000.
When you apply a filter, the list view immediately reflects only the matching opportunities.
Filter on related objects
You're not limited to opportunity fields. When adding a filter, you can select fields from related objects:
Account — Filter by account type, industry, region, or any account field.
Owner — Filter by owner attributes like role or team.
Campaign — Filter by campaign source or campaign attributes.
This lets you build views like "show me all direct customers with opportunities closing this quarter" by combining an account field filter with your period selection.
Filter on opportunity products
If you use opportunity products (line items), you can filter based on product fields. This is useful for focusing on deals that include specific products, product families, or line-item attributes.
Custom fields on opportunity line items are also available for filtering.
Custom filters
Administrators can add custom filters beyond the standard field options. These might include pre-built filter combinations or organization-specific filtering criteria. Check with your RevOps team if you need filters that aren't appearing in the standard list.
Filter logic
When you have multiple filters, they combine using AND logic by default — an opportunity must match all criteria to appear in the view.
To change this, click Add logic in the filters panel. You can switch to OR logic, or build more complex combinations. For example, you could show opportunities that are either above $50,000 OR in a specific stage.
When you're done with custom logic, remove it to return to standard AND filtering.
Field-specific filter options
Different field types offer different filter operators:
Date fields — Equals, does not equal, between, after, before, on or after, on or before.
Boolean/checkbox fields — Equals true or false.
Number and currency fields — Standard comparison operators like greater than, less than, equals.
Picklist fields — Select one or more values to include.
Choose the operator that matches how you want to filter each field.
View and remove applied filters
Applied filters appear in the dark blue header bar at the top of your view. This bottom line in the header shows you exactly what filters are active.
To clear all filters at once, click the remove button at the end of the filter summary line. This returns you to the full, unfiltered view.
Filters persist across views
Your filters travel with you. If you switch to a different view — for example, from one saved List View to another — your filters remain applied. This makes it easy to maintain focus on a specific segment of your pipeline as you move between different layouts.
