Using the Pipeline Reviews Toolbar
The toolbar in the dark blue header area gives you control over what data appears in your Pipeline Reviews views and how it's displayed. Each button serves a specific purpose — from filtering opportunities to switching amount fields.
Filter opportunities
The filter button opens a menu with quick filter options for the current view. The fields shown here are configurable — your org might show opportunity type, forecast category, sales stage, or other fields relevant to your opportunities.
Select More filters to open advanced filtering options for building more precise views. For a complete guide to filtering capabilities — including related objects, filter logic, and field-specific options — see Using Filters in Pipeline Reviews.
Select the pipeline period
The calendar button controls the close date filter for opportunities in the view. You can specify the pipeline period several ways:
Standard periods — Current quarter, next quarter, this month, next month, this fiscal year, next fiscal year, and similar options.
Specific fiscal periods — Select particular months, quarters, or years from your org's fiscal calendar.
Explicit date range — Set a specific start and end date for the period.
Custom range — Use relative ranges like "the next two weeks" or "last two quarters."
As you change the period, the view updates to show opportunities with close dates within that range.
Set the opportunity scope
The scope button determines which opportunities appear based on ownership:
All opportunities — Every opportunity you have access to see in Salesforce.
My opportunities — Only opportunities you own.
My team's opportunities — Opportunities owned by you and anyone below you in the user role hierarchy.
Your scope choice works alongside your team drill-down selection in the left panel.
Switch header metrics and amount fields
The next button contains two controls that affect how numbers appear across the view.
Header options
By default, the dark blue header shows Pipeline Summary statistics — contextual metrics for the current period and filters. You can switch this to Win Metrics, which displays average win size, win rate, and total won instead.
Amount field
Below the header options, you can select which amount field to use throughout Pipeline Reviews. The default uses your primary amount field (often the standard Amount field), but you can switch to a custom field such as ARR Amount. This change updates both the header metrics and the amounts shown in all view details.
Filter to flagged opportunities
When you're in List View, each opportunity row has a flag on the left side. Use flags to mark deals you want to revisit — during a one-on-one, for follow-up, or for further review.
The flag button in the toolbar lets you quickly filter the view to show only flagged opportunities. Click it to see just your flagged deals; click again to return to the full view.
Analyze pipeline changes (Flow View)
The change period button is especially relevant for Flow View. It sets the time window for analyzing how your pipeline changed — deals that moved stages, changed amounts, or shifted forecast categories.
Options include:
Relative periods — Last day, last seven days, last two weeks, this week, this month, this quarter.
Explicit past periods — Analyze pipeline flow for a specific timeframe in the past.
This gives you a way to retroactively examine forecast flow for any historical period.
Refresh the view
The refresh button reloads the current view with all your filters and options applied. Use it when you know underlying data has changed and you want to see the latest.
Search for opportunities (List View)
In List View, a search box lets you find specific opportunities by name, account name, or owner name. Start typing to filter the list down to matching deals.
